Uninsured drivers…Don’t Risk It

Approximately 13% of drivers are driving without insurance.  Most states have implemented financial responsibility laws ie… SR22, FR44, DL123 programs.  The problem lies in databases which aren’t current and don’t communicate between states.  The state Department of Motor Vehicles are mostly outdated and lack resources to monitor drivers.  The solution is a national database with a standard format, an Online Verification system (OLV).  The Insurance Industry Committee on Motor Vehicle Administration (IICMVA) has created an OLV system that will allow DMVs and law enforcement agencies to access real-time driving records which are up to date and available in all states.
