Moving to a different state, what do i do about my SR22 or FR44?

There are very few Insurance companies that can help with out of state, out of state or cross state filing of sr22 fr44 Wessell Insurance Services is the cheapest fastest and easiest option.  If you have an SR22 or FR44 and move to a different state, it does not end your responsibility to the state where it is filed.  You do not need an sr-22 or fr-44 in the new state.  You need insurance in your new state, it will be a new policy because every state has different laws and limits.  Your new insurance will need to provide proof of insurance to the same state you had the sr22 or fr44 until the obligation is met or they will place a hold on your drivers license and you will be unable to get a license in any state until the original state requirements are met.  To be clear IF YOU HAVE AN SR22 OR FR44 AND YOU MOVE TO ANOTHER STATE, YOU STILL NEED TO FILE SR22 YOU NEED A NEW POLICY FOR YOUR NEW STATE WITH AN SR22 OR FR44 FILED IN THE STATE THAT YOU WERE FILED IN.  Your auto insurance in one state can include an sr-22 or fr-44 in a different state, if you don’t have a car you can get a Non-Owner policy to satisfy proof of insurance.  Out of state or cross state filings can get tricky, but it is easy if you call Wessell Insurance Services, we are the nationwide “SR22 Specialists”.  Wessell Insurance Services have been helping people across the country for 18 years.  We specialize in difficult situations including out of state or cross state filing of sr22 fr44 even multi state sr22 filing.  We provide same day service with cheapest fastest quotes and will file same day and email copies immediately.  Call us at 866 663 7561 with any questions or to get your SR22 or FR44 filed today.  You can CLICK HERE to get an online quote.

I havent had a liscence or a car in a year and a half but my dad had been paying 64 dollars a month for an fr 44. His insurance agent said I still had to have it. I’m moving to Texas and want to get my liscense back. How should I go about this and is there a cheaper option than $64 a month

The FR44 is proof of insurance for the state DMV. It doesn’t matter whether or not you own a car or what state you live in. The FR44 obligation needs to be maintained with no lapse in insurance coverage until the state that requires the FR44 is satisfied or they will suspend your drivers license and prevent you from acquiring a new license in any other state. Once moving to Texas you will need to get a Texas policy with FR44 filing in Virginia.
